We understand that a small Haitian bank, Fonkoze, has branches operational in various parts of Haiti. This bank is a local microfinance bank similar to a caisse populaire in Canada. Visit their website at www.fonkoze.org for info on how to transfer money. They appear to have a flat rate for transfers in contrast to the percentage charged by others. We have contacted Fonkoze to find out how to donate directly from Canada.
